HW: Read Book 10 (pages 176-183) and complete questions 1-6 on page 184. Study for vocab quiz!

    Odysseus is a good leader because he puts the life's of his crew before his own.
    He didn't let them let them stay in his house willingly
    Odysseus shows hubris when he is mocking the Cyclopes

    1) Odysseus was a good leader in this reading section because when he was fighting he put his life in danger before his, like when he put crew under the sheep and got them out before himself.

    2) In the end the Cyclops didn't pray/talk to the gods

    3) Odysseus showed pride when he defended the Cyclops.

    1.) Odysseus was not a good leader because he got them into the mess with the cyclops.
    2.) He doesnt, he eats people.
    3.) Odysseus shows hubris in the section by mauks the cyclops and We predict the consequences will be that odysseus gets hurt

    1- Yes, because he saves his men and tricks Polyphemus into a trap where Odysseus blinds him.
    2- They defy hospitality and go against the gods, they view gods as powerless
    3- In a way he believes he's unstoppable.

    I believe that Odysseus is a good leader yet he is still learning the way of leadership he will make heroic acts then he can sometimes drown his accomplishments by his arrogance this makes him less of a leader then the crew wants but more important needs.

    The cyclops believes that he is greater than the gods and will go against the gods, he goes against everything the gods believe in (mostly Zeus) such as hospitality and the rights of worshiping the gods he is a defiant child of Poseidons god of the sea. My guess would be he does not like the gods because him and his father had a fight and this led him to think that all gods are that way

    He was very hubris when he slayed the cyclops and the dangers that he has created is still unrealized by him the so called leader
